Following the Powwow Trail — honoring the dancers who keep our traditions moving, singing, and alive.
My journey along the Powwow Trail has been a powerful reminder of the strength, resilience, and beauty within our cultures. Every arena, every drumbeat, and every step carries generations of stories. The dancers—young and old—bring these stories to life with regalia that speaks, movements that honor, and a spirit that cannot be forgotten.
Through photos and reels, I set out to capture the energy, pride, and emotion of each moment: the color of the beadwork, the heartbeat of the drums, the rhythm of the songs, and the connection shared across communities. Each dancer represents tradition, identity, and the promise that our ways will continue long into the future.
These images are a celebration of the people who keep the circle strong—those who dance not just for themselves, but for ancestors, families, and the next generations to come.
